It wasn't easy but made it through Cardio Day 4!
Apparently Troy thought I was much smarter than I am
:) He now knows I'm an exercise idiot and I need special handling - guess I'm the problem child of the group
The facts are that I never exercised before I was 56 - I'm still 56 so I have a long ways to go! But I'm determined to get through this with fabulous results!
I think I'm clear now on what I need to do for all areas, but please (anyone!) feel free to point out where I'm may be going wrong if you see something in posts that doesn't look right.
Thanks Nokie!

I'm off for the long Memorial Day weekend to the campground- normally an eating and drinking orgy! Guess I need to behave
Today's workout was good - went to the chiropractor after wards, says shoulder is beginning to heal. Tomorrow Cardio - I'll be doing it outside vs the treadmill like last weekend - I'll probably do some bike riding too!
Good luck everyone on sticking - I'm going to do very best!

Hi All!
I'm Boopster's friend and well I'm completely new to all of this. I've done really well all week and I'm so proud of myself. The first day was TOUGH but I'm getting a hang of it. The diet is going quite well, the working out is going but I would be lying if I said I am enjoying it. Burpee's and AB Braces are like torture if you ask me.
I am excited and hope to do a good job. I have 40-50 lbs to lose and I'm hoping I can achieve this. Good luck to everyone and hopefully the ambulance won't show up at the YMCA next time I work out.

Great to hear things are going well for everyone and very excited to see Holly here too.
Almost 1 week down.

I'm not doing too bad with food, but had a couple (3 total) cocktails so far
Cardio was great this morning, picked up a friend who joined me, we did 6 intervals plus about 30 minute power walking, then rode bike this.afternoon. Tomorrow (if it doesn't rain) will probably go for a long ride.
See you guys tomorrow at 6 PM. Good luck to all!

week two and boy was that a nice one! the day off was good but body was ready to work it this morning. lol i also added 2 lbs to DBs which was a LOT better. this is usual weight lifting weight as i did before last OP so it seems that muscles are kicking back in.
i sometimes feel like i can do whole workout routine all over again when im done. sessions only last about an hour. sometimes, not even. how long do you guys workout for with your routines?
and question- does protein powder and water get foamy when used in a blender real fast? i mix mine in a magic bullet blender since it stirs it faster...i pop it in the fridge...workout and then give it another spin before i drink it but its a lil foamy till it sits a lil. wondering if milk helps or just water or if i should just hand shake it to mix it?

I believe Holly has done wonderful, but I won't post her weight loss seeing she's a member on our forum now. All I gotta say is way to go Holly! She's dedicated and really working hard at the gym. We even went to a Memorial Day picnic together and she was very good with all that food around her. Great discipline Holly! I was down 2 pounds this week from Day 1 weigh in.

workouts are about an hour also and no I don't feel like I can do them over. I'm usually beat.
You will get some foam when mixing with a blender as it will add lots of air. You can add a coulple ice cubes that will reduce the foam or I mix protein with water at the gym. I put it in a shaker bottle I purchased at local vitamin shoppe, just take the protein dry and add the H20. So yes, hand shaker is better.
