I switched calorie counters from fitday to sparkpeople. I set up account put in food and exersice and then becasue it was late and I wasn't tired I browsed the site. I even posted a few messages on a board
One woman complained of not losing weight. She posted her workout schedule. Everyday was cardio. Aerobics for an hour, nearly everyday and when she wasn't doing that, she was running. 3 days a week cardio was 2 hours, one in the monring and one at night. On weight days, she did cardio and then weights, light weights, high reps.
I suggested a full body workout 3X a week with heavy weights. Told her about women not bulking up and said maybe she should cut back the cardio becasue it sounds like she is doing too much. I also said she should take a day off from exercising during the week. She has like 10 pounds to lose.
Well this woman and a couple of others started posting like I was an atheist at a bible meeting. Too much cardio? I never heard of such a thing. You can't get too much cardio.
Some other women said i was right about the weights but not the cardio and told her to do more.
Was I wrong?
too much cardio?? Was I wrong?

No, they were.
You can't convert people like that easily, if they're brainwashed by rubbish they hear, or misnomers etc etc.
You tried and that's all you can do. If they want to ignore sensible advice, keep wasting time getting poor resutls, and wonder why, let them.
It's not like you're giving up on anyone, you're just assigning your time to better things, like people who are willing to understand or pay attention.
I wouldn't get fussed about it.
