no, lift fast get big

think of a 100m sprint...everyone gets to the end, but it's who gets there the quickest who's the best

if we can both lift 25kgs for curls but i can lift it in 1sec and you can only do it in 2secs, then i'm better

it's a hip dominant movement meaning it trains the glutes, hams and low back...glute soreness after them is a very good thing

The soreness should stop after a while. If you are doing the exercise for 6 weeks or more and you are still having pain, then see if someone can observe your technique to determine if you are executing correctly.

It is true that you should expect to feel some pain occasionally from lifting, but if pain were a good measure of progress, then just drop a dumbbell on your foot...that hurts like hell so you should be making good progress.

If you are getting persistent pain from an exercise then something is not quite right.

Biceps

Post by jasondanough »

Hey dude yo need to do a few things for your biceps to grow! First thing you have to much isolation and not enough compound movements! Try involving chinups, but do them differently. For instance do one set where you are very close grip, then stagger your hands, then on the last two sets go very slow on the way down, or hold it !! Also try using different grips, if you want to work the outer head of your bicep do alot of close grip curls, if you want to work the inner head,[ closer to armpit] then do wide grip! The wide grip is a great one for size, where as the close grip is more for the cosmetic look! :D

the pain isnt bad it only lasts about 5 seconds after a set of deadlifts so i dont think its anything serious

A few thoughts:

*The best way to get bigger arms is to get a bigger body.

*Most of your arm mass is in your tricep.
