New gym.

Post by thekid24 »

Okay so I switched gyms lately(from YMCA to the Track and field centre). I still lift in school gym about 2-3 times a week and on the track centre for the other 2/3.

So I need a good HIIT program that can be performed on the TRACK. I know I've been neglecting cardio lately:D but I sure make up for it doing weights.

I'm also on the first week of waterbury's ABBH and so far, I'm lovin' it. So now I need a HIIT program to complement the lifting part.

Any suggestions?

well if going for mass then you probably don;t want anything too intensive for cardio or you'll use valuable "growth" calories

maybe some tempo runs (100m or so at 60 - 70%)

hmm well, obviously i wanna lose some fat(at least 5 lbs) from the bulk that i did. and i hopefully the ABBH will help me preserve or gain at least some mass.

so ABBH has a day in between workouts. should I do the HIIT on those days or can I do at least 15 mins of HIIT after an upper body workout?

and for the calories, I know you won't gain mass on a caloric deficit, so should I eat on a maintenance? cuz really, I'm tryna lose 5 lbs and preserve muscle mass.

Thanks.

well it is a muscle gaining program so you run the risk of training to hard/much with too little cal's when you try and do one of them but lean down

pop some easy to moderate cardio on off days for starters and adjust as needed

i'm actually trying to be consistent on lowering carbs but its hard not to eat white rice since, its really the only carb source i eat with meat and veggies.

i eat fruits and veggies but it doesn't seem to fill me up. is it okay to still eat rice 3x a day but just 1/2 cup per meal? and for fruits, how much is really enough serving in terms of carbs per meal?

if you have to eat rice, eat wholegrain if you can (same with all carbs bread, pasta etc.) i only eat two pieces of fruit a day- bannanna in the morning before breakfast and an apple before first meal at work, the rest of the meals i have veg. carbs in veggies dont count so dont limit yourself on those.
