Hello. At this stage I know how to increase mass or reduce fat but I dont know whether I SHOULD focus on increase muscle or to reduce fat now (Since people recommend it's very hard to increase muscle AND reduce fat at the same time)
The problem is: Im quite skinny (eg have skinny arms and legs) but with a fat that makes me very annoyed. Im 5"6 weighing 142. BF level is about 10-11%. I personally wanna have a 6 pack abs with defined toned body - not really wanna bulk up. Just that gym instructor said BF is too low and I should start putting on mass before think about cutting it back. Im not so sure though........................
So the ultimate problem is: I know how to do it either way but I dont know WHICH way I should choose.

personal recommendation is to focus on building the muscle first and don't worry about your body fat. Some people, even if they eat totally clean, find themselves gaining fat along with muscle. When you have gained a satisfactory amount hit the fat loss. As long as you keep weight training hard and eat adequate calories you won't lose your muscle mass.
