Not sure how to get video posted here, so here is a link to see it.

For the guy that says it is not a "real" lift then show me a video of yourself doing a "real" lift so we can compare. I always like to learn from others so show me, do not tell me!

I don't have any video, but I don't brag being able to leg press all the plates available to put on it. If you would have post a 500DL video I would have applaud but a leg pressing video ...
First your ROM was really small ... not even near //
Second, many lifters will max out any machine weight even those with plates.
and how much do you squat to parallel ? Leg Press isn't a test of strength.

Guys, this tit for tat stops now.
Heelus, stop talking to Joe like a jackass, you're better than that.
Joe, one thing I will say is, if you're going to post stats like that, you will come across "to some", like you're boasting a bit. I've seen on occasion on other places, this reaction to stats talk before.
It's not a criticism, it's just that in future, if you do it, maybe say something like I'm not boasting, just wanted to share something I'm proud of, so nobody thinks your a big head.
Like I say, not criticising, just passing on some past insights
.
I'll let this discussion continue, but Heelus do yourself a favour, and don't start posting stuff that makes you look like a jerkoff. You're a good guy, and you don't need a bad rep

You are seriously going to tell me that leg pressing is a test of strength ?Boss Man wrote:Guys, this tit for tat stops now.

Boss man , I did ask if anyone wanted to see it before I showed it
Funny too as far as it not being a strength issue. as I was working out with Jay Cutler ( yeah that Jay cutler) doing the same workout for a little over a month now.
Oh P.S. Ronnie Coleman has a video of him doing LEG PRESS too on You tube.
Anyway, I do not care so much what a negative guy says . You are right anytime you post a stat or a workout , some will like it and be motivated, and others will be jealous or whatever and hate on it. ( I asked and showed it to the ones that get motivated not for the haters)
I hope some one new to fitness watches it here and says "I am going to get there one day" If just one person does that then it served a good purpose in eyes.

Oh and on the note of helping people learn the right information about how workouts can effect them. (many people may or may not agree on certain issues, however some things are a given in strength and muscle development that facts and research will overcome personal opinion on any day of the week)
If you are remotely confused by the nonsense that was posted as to the cause and effect of a leg press exercise not being a proper strength exercise. I have posted a few links for you to research yourself and follow what you think is right for you.
Info on leg press ( strength exercise)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leg_press
Ronnie Coleman 8X Mr Olympia doing a leg press to set a record ( 2300lbs)
The guy knows a little about strength exercises, you think?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSNvEpH2L1o
The Mayo clinic ( world famous doctors and medical clinic)
Probably know a little about the body too?
Read what they say about a leg press working well to strengthen the lower body!
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/leg-press/MM00745
Another good article for anyone still confused to read
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle ... -legs.html
More good information from actual personnel in the field of strength and size gains
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/shannon1.htm
There are literally hundreds more top athletes and professional sports trainers that will concur as well. I hope the facts clear things up as to the misinformation posted by someone that did not know what they were speaking about regarding leg press as a strength exercise. People may vary on the exercise they like best for leg strength or development of those specific muscles, however it is not feasible for any knowledgeable person to discount this exercise as beneficial to all in the area of strength and muscle development if not as their primary choice at least as an alternative choice.

The Coleman stuff is just plain bad simple as.
A man pressing that much, earns no respect from me, because to do it, requires not just a bit of Steroids and possibly HGH / Test Boosters, but way too much, which could potentially kill him from Organ damage within the next 20 years.
There's are limit someone should perhaps go, and Leg Pressing a Tonne + is way over it.
