*HELP* on Maintaining Abs while gaining muscle/ weight

Post by stl1992 »

I've been taking whey protein for a few months now, and i notice even though i eat good, do quite a bit of cardio, and ab workouts as well, im very active and play hockey..

does anybody have advice on how i can still lift weights, gain weight/ muscle but still maintain and build up those perfect abs that im workin towards?

thanks!!

I usually eat high protein foods..pastas..a bunch of fruit

I'm always drinking water, vitamin water, and gatorade..

no sodas.. pizza here and there but nothing outrageously fatening..

I eat good and workout abs quite a bit, as well as cardio and all that..

and i do take whey protein shakes after long hard workouts..

Monday: Upper body

Tuesday: Cardio..Abs.. (Stationary Bike, Treadmill, Jumprope, Lunges, Leg Curls, Squats etc.)

Wednesday: Upper Body

Thursday: Cardio..Abs.. (Stationary Bike, Treadmill, Jumprope, Lunges, Leg Curls, Squats etc)

Friday: Upper Body

Saturday: Rest

Sunday: Rest

working out 5 days in a row=bad.

leg curls=worse.

try full body workouts 3x a week, much more beneficial. if your serious about lifting weights and building muscle, then abs come in at the end of the scale of things, as in when your "cutting" after a bulk, thats when you get your abs.
