Muscles too tired to go on!
only problem with working out is that way too soon into workout, muscles are too tired to go on any further. Halfway through a couple of sets, I feel like I can't get a single more rep in, but I know that I haven't done enough to actually achieve any results yet. It affects me so much mentally that I usually end up just stopping. I usually wait a minute or so between each set, should I rest longer? Or is the stamina something that I have to build up before I can really start having longer workouts? Any tips?
Short term you can will yourself to do this. But if it is due to over-training, lack of sleep, poor rest/recuperation or bad nutrition this will not be sustainable. One day your body will control your mind and insist that you not train. And that one day will become a week, a month, a year or a lifetime.Derelict wrote:In experience when people say they feel they can't get another rep in, they usually can do another 2-3 more. How many reps exactly can you do until you feel too wasted to go on? We talkin 3-4 reps or 4-5, what?
A training program, to be truly effective, must be sustainable. If it is not sustainable, it is a patch, and a band-aid and not a true training program.
