how much cardio should i do on weight training days.
I'm trying to gain lean muscle weight and i'm afraid that if i do too much cardio, i'll null muscle gain. (you could just say eat more, but i'm young and calorie needs are high and i don't have that much money to spend on food) Also, when is the best time to do cardio: on days that i work out, or the days i'm off (i lift weights three times a week)? if i need to do cardio on weight days, how much cardio should i do, and how intense?
Cardio preferably on days off.
2 days of Cardio, 30 minutes long, with something like Interval, Sprints, etc etc will do.
So try something like this.
Day 1. Weights
Day 2. Cardio
Day 3. Weights
Day 4. Day off
Day 5. Cardio
Day 6. Weights
Day 7. Day off.
This stops you having two days off back to back, eating into progress, and stops you training for more than three days straight, for good recovery.
