I eat healthy foods, all the time, but there is still room for improvement. Im eating too much fish and I might be eating carbs at the wrong time, and not enough healthy fats, here is new diet plan.
Mon-fri i work in an office between 8-4 sometimes 9-5, and unfortunately its not a labour intensive job so i spend some time behind a desk, at a computer (not all day though), will nutrition have to work round the fact i dont expend alot of energy durin the day?
I do Weights, Mon,Wed,Fri (full body)
Cardio, Tue(med), Thu(med), Sat(HIIT)
anyway this is new food plan
Meal 1 - Should have carbs, fruit (if possible protein)
Meal 2 - Should have carbs, fruit, protein
Meal 3 - Protein, veg, fruit, healthy fats
Meal 4 - Protein, veg, healthy fats
Training (either cardio or weights dependant on day)
Meal 5 - Protein shake, carbs (this meal is only for weight days)
Meal 6 - Protein, veg
Meal 7 - Small Protein source
Would this sort of plan be alright for every day? (each meal roughly 3 hours apart)
so a weight day could look like
Meal 1 - 3 weetabix, milk, green apple
Meal 2 - 2 boiled eggs, wholemeal pitta bread, bannana
Meal 3 - Chicken breast with veg/salad**, handfull of cashews, blueberries
Meal 4 - Turkey slices with veg/salad**, avacado
Training
Meal 5 - Protein shake (with water), slice of wholmeal with nat. peanut butter
Meal 6 - 2 salmon with brussels, spinach, broc, caul, sweetcorn, carrotts
Meal 7 - Small amount of natural cottage cheese
**Veg/salad = lettuce,spinach leafs,peppers,tomato,mushrooms,carrotts,broc and caul florets, cucumber
I have about 2 coffees a day (1 small, 1 med.) The rest of the day is 2ltrs at least of water.
Any thoughts?

amatlack me personally, The veg/salad i eat at work is all raw veg, i jus cut it all up the evening before and put it in tubs. The evening meal veg broc and spinach is cooked properly, the other stuff is in these microwavable veg bags i buy (i heard that these were basically boil in the bag, and actually good cos they keep nutrients in)

I've implemented the steamer bags also...Another idea is to invest in a simple rice cooker which has the steamer tray that sits near the top of the cooker, add about a cup of water into the cooker, add your favorite veggies into the tray, and turn it on....let it steam the veggies until they're to your liking...They taste great and keep all of their valuable vitamins and nutrients! It may also save you some $$ over buying the steamer bags/PandorasVise wrote:There are these new steamer bags I found in the grocery. You pop in some fresh brocolli, a touch of water, a pinch of salt and in five minutes, hot fresh veggies. They are awesome.
