So i will just put this on the same thread..
So first off husband is getting into the groove of working out, mainly cardio. He gets a cramping in his side, it used to be at the end of his run which is about 30 min and now its earlier into his run. What causes this?
secondly, i don't run because i have feet problems. I don't know what it is. Some people say tennis toe or something like that but when i look that up it is blood pooling under your toenail which makes your big toenail turn black. I don't have any of those issues. problems like where the joint is on big toe. It may be from how i walk/run, which is on the inside of foot. But it is a bad pain, like toe needs to pop but won't. any ideas on this?
weird pain

Possibly you're using the wrong shoes,. You might need ones suited for a neutral, pronated or supinated style, depnding on what running style you have.
As for hubbies problem, maybe it's what he eats beforehand, affecting bloodflow, possibly he's takign a Caffeine based drink, which might do the same, or perhaps he's doing it too intensely.

If you have sports drinks before a long run, the sodium cramps up your kidneys and can be very uncomfortable.
And also, I get the EXACT same pains in left big toe, like I need to crack it but I can't. I only get it when I wear certain boots, so I guess it has to do with your shoes. But it can be a really annoying pain!

I was doing cardio work out the other day… as usual I was doing HIIT on a treadmill. I thought I should challenge myself a little more so I up speed… then 10mins in to it… I had the stabbing side cramp! Ugh… So, I had to slow down and walked until the pain kinda stopped. Then I was trying to do an easy run… the pain came back so I had to end running early and went to the bike instead… Blah!
I usually drink water when I do cardio and before hand… I eat protein bar or nuts an hour before work out….. Should I NOT increase intensity to challenge myself? I’m afraid If I do that... I would have to end running early again….

Try increasing your Carbs before the workout. Nuts are fine perhaps, but maybe try Cashews for the extra Carbs and see if they help, as I imagine you might be eating other kinds with no Carbs.
Or try having something like Wholewheat Bread, or a small portion of Rice perhaps. Other options could be used of course.
If this doesn't eliminate the problem, then other options may need to be sought
