Hello I was just wondering who has done the p90x workout as I am going to start the program here shortly? If anyone has, is it better to do the power 90 first or just jump right into to p90x? I am out of shape (fat) but still athletic.
I'm just finishing Phase 1 of P90X. If you are out of shape, you will most likely get real discouraged.. They are uptempo and intense. They aren't heavy weight oriented but if you can't do 20-25 pushups and at least 3-5 pullups, then I'd go with the easy one.
You need the pullup bar. There are a lot of pullup/chinup variations that occur. You can do the Resistance Bands as a replacement but if you don't have them, you would be eliminating about a third of the workouts that concentrate on chest back and shoulders.
thanks for your advise tyler. I think that i am going to ease into the p90x and do about a month or so with the original power 90 that i have now. by the time i am ready to do p90x i will have the pull up bar and i will be ready to kick a** and take names!!!
swanso you were right about doing the easier one first. I popped in the original p90 today for the first time and Damn I am more out of shape then originally thought! I will stick with p90 until i conquer it then move forward.
