Starting to build muscles

Post by kobrakai »

Hi there,

Im new here, Im a 22 years old guy, who apparently unemployed, and predicting that it is going to go on for at least 3 months.

In this 3 or 4 months Im hoping to build muscles, and goal is to build muscles on the biceps, triceps, shoulders, and perhaps chest.

Im about 173cm, and 70kilograms.
not exercising regularly & recently (willing to start now), only some inconsistent push-ups.
Im quite small on the upper part of body, butt and thigh is somewhat fat, that is why some people dont believe me that i weighted 70kg.

the goal stated basically to make the upper part of body looked balanced compare to the lower ones.

i got recommended this site by a friend of mine, and I think it is a very good site.

questions are:

which exercise should I start first?
how many reps and sets is appropriate for size?
understand the 48hrs rest, will there be any impact if I do the exercise everyday?
I've started to do 3 sets of alternating hammer curls and bench dips today. one set about 8-10 reps, it was very light, i didnt have any sore after an hour of exercise but i did not continue to overtrain it since shapefit.com mentioned a lot of times that rest is very important, however can i increase the reps to about 15 on first set?
what are the important aspects that i need to remember to have the routine?

many thx in advance.

Hey man goals are similar to yours, I feel lower body has more muscle on it than upper body. I'm getting things together, hope you reach your goal, keep in touch and let me know how things go for you.
