Hi there,
one thing that helps me with stress (and I am a major worrier, always freaking out about something...) is lavender oil. It helps me to sleep at night with a few drops on the pillow but if I feel myself getting really worked up I sometimes put a few drops on a tissue/hankerchief and breathe it in slowly. It's not expensive and you can get it almost anywhere. But in terms of prices I would say it's worth paying a tiny bit more as the quality really does vary and the cheap ones can smell a bit nasty.
Also, I was reading in Psychologies magazine last month that a dietician made his clients practice deep breathing for two minutes a day as well as any time they began to feel stressed - and I mean really slow, like three breaths a minute - and they reported feeling more relaxed and actually ate less without realising. So, worth a try maybe!
stress and chocolates

I am a total chocoholic. I think a little of what you fancy does you good. I eat choc when im stressed but i buy the small snack size ones and keep them in the top cupboard (im short and cant reach) and eat 1 really slowly. I also find that eating it so slowly and concentrating on it calms me too.
If you totally want to stay away from chocolate - I am in the uk but im sure you will have something similar. I love choc coconut so i get sesame snaps from the health foods shop. Their ingredients are sesame seeds, coconut flakes and honey. They really hit the sweet shop.
Im sure somebody will tell me they are really bad but i love them nd they are all natural.
