I wanna start incorporating deadlifts into program. question is does anyone have the definitive way to do them--I checked YouTube but there's a zillion different ways and most different. I only have dumbells just now(hoping to get a barbell soon).
thanks.

Deadlift form

all deadlift variation should be performed with a bent knee because:
1 - locking the knee out puts undue stres on thge popliteus muscle (a "money" muscle for the knee) located at the back of the knee
and;
2 - deadlifts are all about getting hip extension which is where your bum pushes back behind you which a straight leg can't provide
deadlifts are when you start from the floor or down near your feet (might be in a power rack from mid shin which is what i do for most clients
stiff legged deadlift's starting position is from a standing up straight position
they are different exercies training different strength qualitites
