No burn?
So I have been working out solid for a good month and a half. I have had awesome results imo for 1 1/2 mon. But at first a lot of the stuff I was doing gave me a good burn, Now I dont get that so much.....More so can't do anymore and struggle to put it up but no more burn. Is that fine or do you really need a good burn to build??? I'm a nooooooob so just wondering. If I do lighter weight and more reps I get a good burn and feel the "pump" Is that more effective? But now I'm doing 6-8 reps @ 85%.....Am I doing to much weight? I am doing as waturbury states. I just want what is most effective. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALP!

getteing a pump dpesn;t mean you're getting bigger or stronger and the fact is you probably aren't, you may feel like you are...when most are going fo that elusive pump they are genrally using moderate wts at best..the best way to get big and strong? lift at no lighter then 80% for any given exercise
The burn is a buildup of Lactic Acid, it occurs mainly when the Muscles are starved of Oxygen, but are still using Glycogen.
The burn sensation could be dissipating, as the body gets used to the Biomechanics of lifting the way you do it. So don't get fussed about Burns or Pumps. Pumps are just instances when Blood flow into muscles at a rate higher than it leaves, creating an inflated muscle area.
Pumps are pretty sub par for assessing growth potential, or encouraging growth potential. Growth potential comes from the type of lifting, duration, instensity, level of Microtears, Diet, and rest mainly. Big pumps might feel nice, but in the grand scheme of things they are just that, a feeling, and not a solid indicator of anything, except that you have good circulation.

Hi! Monitor your rest period every set. And don't forget to sip some water atleast every 2 set of your program. But avoid over hyrdate. And maybe you need to alter some of your program for example if your are doing 2 chest per week. Do Barbell Bench Press then on the next "day" do Dumbell Bench Press. I hope this will help a bit.
