for football we did a lot of dashes with sleds tied to our backs and put weights on the sled. and some parachutes. i'm not really sure if you have access to anything like that though

Speed is as a result of 2 things, cadence(leg speed) and stride length. Unfortunately for us our stride length is limited by our leg length, so we can work on cadence. Acceleration is due to power, so for sprinting, you need to have lots of power, and high cadence.

Power: Now where you are, and what you can do is very much based on what type of training you have been doing in the past. So I'm going to assume you have been training in the past, and you are pretty fit (if not, go get fit first, before you do this) Start in the gym, with squats (I prefer sports squats), lunges, deadlifts and calf raises. I would suggest using heavy weights, doing 3-5 reps very fast, explosively, then 5 -10 min rest, 3 sets. These 3-5 reps should really tire you out.
OR you can go outside and do hill sprints and/or stair running

Cadence: Agility ladder, agility courses are good places to starts, remember that increased leg speed is you aim
