I find the wind also seem to be face no matter what direction I'm riding in.
The body is an amazing thing, if you are burning fat, it first takes it off where you need it the least. So we can't burn fat off in just one area, like a lot of people think. They do 100s of sit-ups, but it will never help.
I am a personal trainer, but I run a Spa and salon now, so not so much training anymore. I just train myself.

Yes i know what you mean when you say that you loose fat where you want the least....lol... but that live... one thing that i did not like was that when i use to ride bike for 3 hrs a day friend told me that i lost weight but i did not really see it on the scale but she told me that legs were way bigger then before... oh boy that bug me i don't want to have huge leg she said that probably its because i was building muscle with the bike but not loosing weight fast enough! Well i hope this does not happen in the spring when i start biking..SafaAndy wrote:lol

When i start biking in the spring to go to work should i just start during the weekend a few weekend first to get body use to it or its ok to just start biking wight away?
And if i remember you told me not to do cardio before weight....oh i remember the guy that told me to do the cardio first and then the weight he told me that it was because its easyer on your heart to do the cardio first something to do with the way your blood flow i am not too sure but ...what ever!!!!
I guess its afternoon where you are here its like 10:25 am and cold outside -23 this morning... brrrr but always better then the -52 we had...

If you are riding your bike to work each day and it is 1 hour and 30 minutes each way, then there is little chance that you will not get in terrific shape by the summer's end.
Indeed, you should be ready for mountain climbing by summer's end.
Consider the winter training as a way to get ready for the summer biking to work.
I used to train for mountain climbing by biking 30 miles a day (50 on weekends) and running. The biking will trim off all your extra pounds and make your heart and lungs work like champs.

Cool yes i use to do this like 2 years ago bike to work, people told me that i was crazy because the time it took that i should take the bus unstead but it take me 40 min in the bus in the morning and longer at night because the traffic is heavier so about 1 h 15 min in the bus.. so i rather take bike and get the benefit of the exercise since am sitting all day long in front of computor!!!Packard wrote:If you are riding your bike to work each day and it is 1 hour and 30 minutes each way, then there is little chance that you will not get in terrific shape by the summer's end.

Well i can't really the mountain climbing here its too flat...lol there is not mountain at all... suck...!!!
I just tought that it was bizarre that friend told me that leg were bigger that they use to be before i bike... i did not like that too much but i did not really see them bigger to me i guess you can't really see it when its on you.
I have to get back to what i use to do i should of never stop but that stupid heart monitor watch freak me out so much that i stop doing everything not even thinking that i was doing more damage not to exercise and anything else...

When I lived on Long Island (New York) the politicians were talking about creating bike lanes so that people could commute to work.
A nice thought.
If employers had showers I think it might work. But riding to work and showing up all sweaty without the access to a shower really makes biking to work a bit of a wishful dream.
I would guess you either have access to a shower, don't sweat, or do work that does not place an emphasis on a scrubbed look.

lol... nope i sweat.... but i get to work about 30 min so around 7:30 i start at 8:00 so yes i have time to take a shower at work there is a huge bathroom downstair and we can wash there... and the i have time to go outside a bit and grab a coffee and i am ready to work... but to tell you the true i don't sweat much in the morning but when i get home at night wow... shirt is pretty wet ..here in the prairies it always cool at night most of the time even if its like +30 during the day its much cooler at night and in the morning so this is why i don't sweat much in the morning but afternoon when i leave well first of all it takes me longer to get home because there is more traffic and its way more hot...Packard wrote:When I lived on Long Island (New York) the politicians were talking about creating bike lanes so that people could commute to work.
