need some help and guidance

Post by sbangel1287 »

I'm 21 and I weigh 180 lbs. I've always been one of the bigger kids and i've always hated it. I've tried before to lose the weight and i just can't get motivated. boyfriend recently joined the Marines and will be in basic training starting in May. This has made me realize that while he's gone I wanna make myself better too. I want to lose at least 30 lbs, not only to make myself look better but so that I feel better around other people. friend and I have decided to start working together to get in shape. Does anyone have any tips and/or advice?

It's not just about exercising. Know that if you want to hit your goal in a healthy manner, you're going to have to diet too.

The most important thing would have to be falling into a routine. just like you go to work or school. you don't question it you just do it. same attitude should be applied to your work out. If you're tired, or feel lazy force yourself all the more and eventually the routine will become as easy as breathing. and whatever your doing start slow and work your way up gradually

you say you have no mtivation yet your post is mostly about how you want to improve yourself...not motivation enough??

food - go to diet section and read "read before posting..."
training - search your body is a barbell by alwyn cosgrove

You have the motivation, you just stated it. You should also look long-term. Don't just want to look better now, want to feel better later too, as you can't reverse aging, but you can fight it.

Who do you want to be when you're 70?
