Hi,
New to the forum. Just wanted to mention that over the last 3 months (excluding the new year) that I managed to loose 16 pounds just through weight training alone. Virtually did no cardio (except climbing the stairs in condo a couple times a week just to change things up).
I can only say that the benefits were great for me. Weight training boosted metabolism so I burned calories through-out the day even when I was not training. Those workouts get me through days at work and not fall prey to our staff's frequent sugar binges.
Unfortunately, I have had a recurring case of tennis elbow in right arm (the culprit being using too much weight on an exercise I did to strenghten fore-arms; essentially a bicep curl using an under hand grip). Since i had to stop all weight bearing training until this injury heals, I have pretty much lost any interest in physical training. Now, I have less energy and less motivation to get out of bed. I work out at home (I have never liked going to gyms or paying a fee to exercise). I was very excited to start kettle-bell training but the have sat in the corner for a month now unused until I can heal. Any advice to get through This dead zone?
Let me just say that I hate jogging (even though when I was in 20s' I used to jog 30-to-40 miles a week) and the idea of having to spend free time on feet is not exciting (I am on feet all day at work already).
