Glucosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate

Post by Nokie173 »

Hi,

left knee started to hurt ever since I’ve started to run again. I do HIIT 2-3 times a week, no more than 30mins. If I’m doing an easy run, I usually incline by 2-3 & again no more than 30mins. But left knee has been hurting so I don’t incline anymore, which helps. The other day, I was jogging outside of place and left knee started to hurt again. I usually do a light stretch before I run, then I do major stretching after I run.

I’ve been searching through the internet to see what might be the problem before I contact doctor. Could it be that I don’t let it rest enough? I don’t think I’m over doing it.

I found some supplements that suppose to help and I see it every where in drug stores.

Ditto on the running.

I would also as well as the G + C supplement, look into things like MSM, Cartazyne, Chitosan, Fish Oil, CLA etc etc.

Thank you for all your inputs… :D Ill look in to it!

About the running, I got me some good running shoes that doesn’t hurt feet at all…

Someone once told me “Invest your money on good running shoes and good health instead of wasting money on stupid diet pillsâ€

we have all treated the symptoms here not the problem...

MOST knee pain is refferred pain from the following:

limited ankle mobility
limited hip mobility
tight hip flexors
tight quads
tight calves
weak hamstrings
inhibited glutes
weak tibialis anteriour
dodgy footwear
technique
overuse

until these are addressed you'll have on going problems

Yeah, running shoes are very important things. I took advice from a co-worker about getting proper footwear on a regular basis. People don't really know this, but the lifespan of shoes aren't years more like months depending on how long or hard you tax them.

Nike- 3 months
Adidas- 3-6 months
Asics- 6-12 months
Saucony- 6 months or so

I not plugging them, but Asics are favorite shoe. You can go to their webpage, or a local running shoe shop and find them. You can research their different shoe models and find the right one that fits your running needs, stride style, pronation, and arch height. I've enjoyed jogging and running much more now because of them. Nikes fall apart in opinion, but everyone thinks they are the pinnacle of shoes.

Proper running technique can be developed- Sprinting is on your toes, and long distance running is more of a neutral strike. Do your research.[/url]
