Opinions on Creatine!
I have been taking Creakic Hard Core for two months and I love it. I was just curious what everyones opinion on creatine is and how long you should use it.
Not heard of that exact brand, but just the name smacks of Muscletech all over it.
Creatine is often cycled in 3 main ways.
3 weeks on, 1 off.
2 months on 1 off.
3 months on 1 off.
Some say loading is just an excuse to make you use more, some say it helps the Kidneys and body adjust, and speeds up results, rather than just using something like a 5g or 2x5g split dose method instead.
Creatine is good for power increases, but you need the power first.
You can see pictures of big snarling juicers, telling you 50-60lbs of added Bench Press, happened for them off crappy Celltech, but some guy weighing 230lbs, has the physical power to make that happen, his increase would be potentially that big.
Some guy who's got decent results, but only been training for say 6 months, and weighs 150lbs, won't get that increase, and for most, it's their way of trying to address lack of progress issues, better mended by diet and / or training changes.
I've seen enough 16-19 year olds on boards like this, claiming they need Creatine or Steroids, to get over a training hump after 3 months, to know they don't, and are misguided or misinformed, possibly by other misguided people, or by crappy on-line articles, again written misguided or manipulative individuals.

I dont remember how long I took it, but it worked for me. Was a heavy lifter in HS (weighed 150 but was VERY strong for size), stopped for 3 months in the summer time...went to college and started lifting again. By the end of spring I was 175 lbs and had improved some from high school lifts. I just took the regular creatine monohydrate from GNC

Bossman...I had been training for 5 months after a 3 month break that set me waaay back. Granted, I had been lifting weights for 4 years before that (with other small breaks but not much)...but it helped me a lot. friend was training partner and we have a similar build, he weighed a tad more etc but I out lifted him towards the end by quite a bit of weight. There were definately other factors such as diet (mine was much better) and work ethic, but I know body, weights, and progression, and it seemed I progressed a lot quicker. Anyways, not trying to dispose of your opinion, but from a been there done that perspective it worked for me and helped me gain weight (I'm a hard gainer). I realize it was a lot of water weight but body fat percentage was as low as it always was and I was 25 lbs heavier and looked a loooot better. I just recently got back into old routine after taking a year off and I will definately be cycling creatine in diet.

And to clearify, you were dead on with the diet/training. I'm not saying I wasnt progressing without creatine, because I was doing good without it...I had a workout that I built and refined over 5 years of lifting and diet was excellent...and those are most important like you said, but in opinion it gave me a little push...and I weighed 150 lbs at the time (175 after all was said and done).
When I first started taking Creakic I strength started to increase significantly and I started to gain weight which I love. But now after 2 months I have hit a plateau. bench press has come to a stand still and I can’t seem to get past it. Do I finish the cycle that I’m on or should a stop. It’s starting to piss me off!

does anyone think that it may be a coincidence that you get results from taking creatine?
i would predict that 50% of those gains are mental as you may be more likely to train harder and better when taking supplement because as you paid good money for it, you want it to work
i think it most train like they do when on creatine without it, they would see similar and sustainable gains

not many...creatine did absolutely nothing, even with loaduing and forst use but eating was shit back then, bodybuilding type training back when i didn't know shit really
i'm not against supp's but too many think they will do the job...i am still in a position at 30yrs old where i can still make gains with the right approach without them so when i absolutley platuea (not increasing your bench for 3 weeks is not aplateua folks), then creatine and such will give me a much better boost then if i'd used it before
