I used to do what I would call handstand pushups.
Because balance isn't that good, I'd do a handstand with back facing the wall and the backs of feet just barely touching the wall, then lower myself down and back up again.
I've thought about starting this exercise again, and wanted opinions of those far more versed in this than I (which is pretty much everyone here).
I figured, no weights and seemingly little chance of injury (to anything other than pride), but, again, I'm no expert. Of course, there's also the question of effectiveness - would it do any good or is it just a waste of time?
So, your thoughts?

When I was in college a gymnast bragged that he could do 20 hand stands. I bet him that I could do one more than he could (although I had never done even one).
I won the bet. I don't remember the final total, but it was in the mid-20s.
It is both easier and harder than pressing with your body weight. It is harder because of the unfamiliarity with the upside down position and the balance issues (we did it against the wall).
It is easier because the range of motion is quite abreviated compared to a standing press.
(I still prefer standing presses.)
