as i'm a little more advanced than most i can get away with a 2 day split program and mostly do them but for 90% of those who haven't trained PROPERLY full body is the better option
and, what's the difference between full-body routines and spaced out routines such as, biceps and triceps oneday and chest another day. and how does it differ in muscle growth?????those are 2 best schedules to follow or tue, thu, sat depending on yuor schedule
for the everyday trainer who has to work or go to school, socialise, play sport etc full body is more EFFICIENT...training 3 days a week is obviously less than 4 - 6...you train more total muscle mass per session which is what builds muscle and burns fat...you should only use compounds for these (well 85% at least) which will do that...splits can work but were 1st performed when drugs became available and bodybuilder's found that they recovered quicker and grew easier so they could spend more time isolating...the point? unless your nutrition is SPOT ON (i mean 100% all the time!!) and you already have "appreciable mass", than full body will trump splits everyday of the week
for some good full body workouts go to www.t-nation.com and search Chad Waterbury...all his programs are full body
