balance exercises

Post by nav85uk »

Hi

I have started playing football after 3years of not playing and altho i'm a bit rusty i seem to have lost balance.
Guess i've been concentrating on upper half of body more then the bottom half. I know i've gotta build leg muscles but is there any other exercises i could do to improve balance.

any thoughts on the matter would be great
thanks

Plenty of effective Leg Exercises.

Split Squats.

Lunges, front, side, regular and walking.

Freebar Squats, but if you don't have a spotter, might want to do Smith Squats for safety reasons.

Deadlifts would have some effect.

Box Step Ups.

Might be good for Hack or one legged Hack Squats.

depends if it's balance or strength

balance can't really be improved past the age of 12 but can be retrained

if's leg strength/stability then do as suggested above
