I have been reading all of the posts' on the workout forum and the majority of them are giving workout routines using gym equipment. Unfortunately I do not have a membership anywhere and only have free weights(10lb & 8lb), resistance bands and an exercise ball. I am trying to lose about 20-30 lbs and basically tone body since having a baby 5 years ago. I carry most of weight in the mid section and in the hips, toosh and thighs. Can someone give me tips on a routine that would help me feel and look better? I seem to not have any energy anymore.
Good recommendation by Troy. I use mostly free weights at home. I am lucky to have a gym where I work but find free weights superior to the machines. I also have a treadmill at home so it is more convenient for me to workout at home. Treadmills have come way down in price recently because of the economy. I do steady state cardio and sprints on the treadmill. Can also do calisthenics at home with no equipment. Push-ups, sit-ups, squats, lunges, crunches, leg work, ab work and so on. Don't need a gym.
Swanso, I read Your Body Is A Barbell and it really gave me motivation but when it described some workouts I didn't quite understand some things......example
A1: Bulgarian split squat: 2 sets x AMRAP each leg @ 333, 30 sec rest
2 - 333 refers to lifting tempo so you'd lower in 3 seconds, pause at the in btw the lifting and lowering phase for 3 seconds then lift back uop in 3 secs
