high protein content?
whats the best veg to eat for protein content? i know brocoli is good same with spinach but what others are there? its something i dont eat enough of, but come next week im starting a new programme (im trying to gain roughly 15lbs of muscle im currently 185lbs 5.10") in which i will need to up the ante foodwise. so which are the best? i will be having 5 portions of veg per day, how large should each portion be? any tips would be appreciated.
A lot of Veggies do have Protein, but very little. If you want to boost content from Plant matter, you need to be focusing onthings like Soybeans, (complete Protein and 33%, highest concentration of any Protein source), Tofu, Nattokinase, (Fermented Soybean Curd with a Bifidus Bacteria in it), Beans, Lentils, Peas, possibly Corn, and perhaps Protein enriched Pasta, and also Mushrooms, (approximately 33%, 66% ratio Protein to Carbs).
Also Rice as well for Protein and Carbs.
Keep veggies in there, but just don't expect a massive amount of Protein.
You could though mix and match though, though kep some Veggie content, and then add things like Rice, Legumes, Mushroom in for example, and boost Protein up, and add some more Carbs, so you don't necessarily need to crank up Flesh or Dairy sources to get Protein.
