I want to reach 140 lbs

Post by ledwards850 »

I've always been rather "skinny", which most people wish was there problem. But I thought as I matured everything would fall into place, but it hasn't. friends are all shapely, and are at comfortable weights. I'm still the underweight friend who has the exact same body type i've had since Elementary school. I don't feel like a women in this tomboy body of mine. I've tried weight gainers in every form imaginable, I've loaded up on carbs and fatty foods, yet I've gotten nothing. It seems as though I can't gain, even when I was prgnant with both of children I didn't really gain, and I look like I've never been pregnant at all. Any suggestions?

Different men are attracted to different types of women. For example I'm attracted to slender women in the ballet sort of body.

So don't put too much value on what some men (or women) find attractive.

If you have a very high metabolism rate you may find it very hard to gain. But regardless of your metabolism rate if you take in more calories than you burn up you will gain.

Try to get a reasonably accurate accounting of your current daily caloric intake. Then work to add 10% to 20% to that figure. Even with the added caloric burn from training this should be sufficient to add weight.

And like a small child, you probably will not do well with a low fat regime. Studies show that growing children have a difficult time taking in enough calories for their requirements on a low fat diet. Adjust the fat content in your diet to meet your caloric needs.

For instance you might do well with whole milk in place of skim milk in your breakfast cereal.
