Do you know of any way to calculate BMR?

Post by Dakdak »

Maybe calculator is over shooting BMR so can someone please tell me a way that i can estimate it. Also i think maybe portions may be a little small in journal.

Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

Also all of the information that i'm asking about is on profile and open to the public

don;t worry about bmr...

this is way easier:

1 - x bw by 15 so 191 x 15 = 2855 (i think??)
2 - break this up into 33% each of protein, carbs and fat
3 - as you go decrease carsb and replace those cal's with protein and fats equally so your intake will still be the same but your macrronutirent breakdown isn't
4 - if or when fat loss slows again then increase activity 10%
5 - if or when fat loss stalls again decrease cal's 10% keeping everything else the same
6 - rinse and repeat

Is 2855 (or whatever it was) how many calories i need to sustain body weight?

to maintain it. and to lose fat safely you'd say a 500 calorie deficit?

go to fat loss section and read "fat loss progressions", it's a bit of a read but it will explain why it isn"t necesary to have "500cal deficit"...there's better ways...as soon as you start cutting cal's, you're in trouble and going backwards
