Hi there...

I don't think theres any magic trick to help you kick your soda habit. I think the best advice is to simply not drink it... drink water instead. I think we all have things that we enjoy and have to give up in order to achieve better results. For some its smoking, for others alcohol, for some chocolate, for me, its ice cream. The simple truth is that you cannot continue drinking that $hit every day if you want to obtain the best results. Reach for a nice cold glass of water instead. Its SO much better for you and I guarantee you'll feel SO much better at the end of the day if you've quenched your thirst with water instead of soda.

Hope this helps!

Gut to Cut is right. So is NIKE. Just do it! Don't do diet, aspertame and nutra-sweet are not healthy substitutes. Many people have alergies like myself and the worst is drinking a can of diet pop and 20-30 minutes falling to your cause you can't function literally! H2O to GO!

Cheers

i heard that diet soda is jst as bad if not worse for u than regular soda as with diet it has sugar substitutes, sweetners etc which ur body cannot use to any benefit, (empty calories) whereas normal soda ur body can use the sugar for energy purposes. could be wrong tho!

You really do just have to give it up. Quit all together. It will be hard for a few days/weeks but then you will wonder why you ever drank it. I gave up pop more than a year ago and don't miss it. I also was a HUGE gum addict. I always had gum in mouth. I wanted to eliminate artificial sweeteners completely and gum had to go. It was hard but after a few weeks I don't miss it. I believe your body becomes addicted to artificial sweeteners and that is why it is so hard to give up. Give yourself time to get over the addiction and you will feel better. Drink tons of water it does help in many ways. Helps you feel full quicker, flushes salt and other things out of your system. Keeps you hydrated and healthy. It is just all about will power and making up your mind to do it.

If you want to stop drinking Coke, then try this experiment:

1. Open a can of Coke.
2. Tie a string to a plain nail
3. Suspend the nail in the bottle of coke.
4. Check back in 3 or 4 days to see what is left of the nail.

(Hint: After a week it will have completely dissolved.)

I saw a TV show once and they detailed the problems an infant had because his mother gave him Coke in his baby bottle instead of juice. The Coke rotted out not only his teeth, but also his jaw. He was going to need a surgically implanted jaw 3 or 4 times during his growth years and it would need to be replaced every 15 years or so after that. Scary.
