Hi,
I have been unfortunate enough to break 2nd metatarsal recently... I have been training reguarly doing weight training, boxing and kickboxing and I really dont want to lose the gains I have made. Does anyone have any good recommendations to exercise I can do for the next 6 weeks to keep fitness and strength up? All I can think of is upper body weight training...

That's a hard one. I would be hesistant to say you could do any exercises, that require you to stand up, as direct loadbearing might hinder the recovery.
I would say try some of the following.
E-Z Bar Reverse Curls and / or Inclined Hammer Curls, (both Arms at once).
Cable Rows or Dumbell Rows possibly Reverse Pec Deck for Variation.
Could also do Inclined two handed Dumbell Rows. You lie Chest down on an inclined Bench, face staring at the floor, and do Dumbbell Rows with both Arms at once.
Chins
Dumbell Shoulder Press or Arnold Press
Dumbell Bench Press and / or Inclined Variation and / or Pec Deck as a variation exercise
Skullcrushers
Dips, Heels resting an a Step or Bench.
Press-ups, on your Knees.
Obviously the only big no-no I can see with Abs, is you can't do Planks, or Side Planks.

thanks very much for the advice, I was doing planks before I realised Id broken foot by putting the bad foot ontop of other one if you get me, is this not a good way to do the plank?
I can walk ok and am allowed to weight bear, but the cast obviously stops me from walking properly and I am about 2 inches taller on one side of body with this shoe thing they have given me to walk on...
I assume things like bent over barbell rows and similar exercises would probably be putting too much strain on the cast (and balance/or imbalance in height etc).
As for cardio, are there any recommendations out there? or would it be best to mix up the weights with heavy weight/light weight supersets to get heartrate up more?

Ok i will do, I wont be able to do deads and squats as the cast comes to just below knee level, ankle is immobilised...so I dont think I will be able to? What single leg exercises can I do? I can think of pistol squats, leg curls and quad raises using the resistance machines... are there any others?
