for jump rope go for as much as you can do up to about 20 minutes. Sprinting or machines about the same but could go to 1/2 hour. Follow up all with an easy 5 minute walk as a cool down.30 sec / 1min or 1min/2min are good ratios and 1min/1min aren't too bad either. Intervals/sprints only 2x per week and on a third day do recreational cardio for about an hour, ie... hiking, jogging, pick=up sports, biking, swimming, etc.
make sure 1 day in between each cardio session and that day in between would be great for weight training to build muscle to help burn the fat! And take 1 day of rest! Every 4-6 weeks take a light week so your body can adjust and recoup, as well as your brain.
