women with muscles
I have heard that women cannot have big muscles like men. So then how do some body building women have these big muscles? Does that mean they are on steroids? Just curious.
It was several years ago and was linked with something like blood doping. I can't recall where it was but that tests were being done with testosterone injections and also with blood doping (removing ones blood and then reinjecting it at a later time). I've heard "talk" and speculation and rumor about actual testosterone injections/pills being tested but like I said could be conjecture. I believe it was pre-net for me, in otherwords I read it hardcopy, lol.
It is a fact that heavy lifting can increase testosterone and decrease estrogene. I know less on how these are affected in women lifters compared to . I would assume similar although admit I really don't know.
Bossman, could you outline the differences between and female lifters and the effects on hormones, specifically testosterone vs. estrogene. Perhaps it would better help understanding but also everyone elses that choose to follow this thread.
Cheers

Well I'm not an expert, but in general, Women have lower Testosterone obviously, so they cannot build more natural muscle, so if you want to be 180lbs of female muscle, you have to do steroids.
For Men steroids can cause thinks like outbreak, Oily Skin, Shrunken Testicles, Baldness, Gynocomastia, Roid Rage is rare. Did hear once of something called Halotestin that caused it, but nothing else really, maybe possible mood swings in a guy from the majority, and that might be in a small percentage of males.
Steroids can however get you cut whilst maintaining bulk too.
In Women, you can get Widened Clitoris, (I did at least once here say Narrow Clitoris, but I think since then that was a slight mistake), outbreak and Oily skin also, thick Jaw, hoarse voice and thinning hair, the hoarse voice, thicker Jawline, hair thinning and possibly Clitoris issues all permanent.
Obviously thinning hairline migh be reversible with implants.
I have heard in women, that possibly something like a change in skin texture, or something like that may occur, not sure on that one though.
Also there are misconceptions, like women weightlifting can get manly, which is obviously B.S.
A reaslly good example of this, was a female who once said, her Mother tried to dissuade her from lifting weights, because it could turn her into a Lesbian with a Beard, I mean who proliferates this crappy ignorance anyway
I'm not sure how the Steroids affect things like female Oestrogen or Progesterone levels. Obviously if it affects Progesterone levels, then things like fertility, Egg fertilisation etc etc, may be reduced I would think.
Possibly Steroids also affect things like the Gonadatropin hormones, which include Lutenising Hormone, Folical Stimulating Hormone, and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, whcih in part help to control the activity of organs, but I cannot be sure of this.
