gym class

Post by thekid24 »

so i just recently incorporated deadlifts and squats on routine and wondering if they should be done in the same day?

and yea school gym is really sad cuz the people in there are kinda annoying cuz when i look around all they're doing are concentration curls and ther stacking up the machines. i never seen anyone touch the racks but me! and i know these are highschoolers but they're all age! grade 11 for pete sakes. i wanna help em out with the perfect forms and techniques but they wouldn't listen. u think i shud jus leave them alone and concentrate on own? its really annoying knowing that im stronger than ALL of them and they have like 20-30 pounds on me. i know i shud be happy that im actually alot more knowledgeable and doing a lot better but its just kinda pissing me off.

you sound envious for some reason? just ignore them and do your routine, i'm usually too concentrated in routines to worry about others anyways. And like you said, they are ignoring you so it's not a big problem.

Points:

1. If they are bigger than you but you are stronger lift more.
2. Don't criticize them they will find their mistakes someday.
3. If you think is that bad wait until you get to college.

if they're serious they'll see what your doing and then maybe ask you questions

deads and squats are both lower body exercises but don't do the same day...what's your split?

I wouldn't worry about what everyone else is doing, just stick to your own routine.

in that case you'll need to prioritise deads or squats (i'd go deads) and do them heavy on mon (6 x 3 or something) and then do a squat variation (i'd say front squats) for higher reps but no more than 8

if you're feeling in your lower back then you're doing them wrong

search dissecting the deadlift

thanks for the reference.

well i've been doing the most common deadlift variation which does put emphasis on lower back.

so r u sayin i shud put deads on upper body split and squats on lower?

no way...on 1st lower body day do deads and on the 2nd do squats as suggested above
