Caffine can cause other issues like Vasoconstriction of Bloodvessels, and mild intereferance of absorption of Iron, and possibly some other minerals too.
I even read something once which said Caffeine may increase the aging process of Bladder Cells.
You should therefore either, have Decaff, or stop drinking it.
There are studies that show some benefit from Coffee, but Caffeine is not a great thing to have, and until someone invents Uncaffeinated Coffee, you wil always get some kind of negative physiological reaction from Caffeine, however small or noticable.

There may be some truth to this read. father-in-law drinks pots of coffee all day long. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer 5 years ago, went into remission and it reappeared 2 years later. Of course this may have been accelerated due to years of smoking also. Interesting.....Boss Man wrote:I even read something once which said Caffeine may increase the aging process of Bladder Cells.
WHAT???? So does drinking plenty of water and eating veggies. A little is okay, but it shouldn't be used as a catalyst for "going to the bathroom". Please don't be offended.curves991 wrote:caffeine is good because it works ur system so that you go to the bathroom..which is something that fiber does as well..
I take a thermos of black coffee (no sugar) into the gym every time I work out. During the course of a workout I will generally finish the entire thermos (16 ounces). I've been doing this since college (about 42 years).
The myth that caffeine will raise your blood pressure has been mostly debunked. It does, however, temporarily raise your blood pressure.
Black coffee was the original "diet" beverage (zero calories).
Over the last 40 years I have heard alternately that coffee was bad for you; coffee is good for you; (and lately) coffee will require a 2nd mortgage on you home (if you shop at Starbucks).
I don't think coffee will have an appreciable effect on weight loss as long as you don't have that donut also.

I was always told that, but I've read (in the NY Times) that recent studies have largely debunked that notion. Apparently the only concern is the temporary spike in blood pressure.Boss Man wrote:

If you Google: "blood pressure, caffeine" you will get many articles on the subject. This one from the Mayo Clinic is typical:

Indeed that's what I'm saying. If you Vasoconstrict bloodvessels you will almost certainly increase Blood pressure, the point I'm making is, the effect could become more pronounced the more someone drinks Coffee.
Obviously during the night when Caffeine ingestion is zero, the effect would go away, but depnding on the frequency of Caffeine consumption, the possibility for the heavy drinker is, they create a negative effect sustained for most of the day.
