Do I have to go to the gym? + Questions

Post by Bigboi118 »

I am following a 3 day week full body workout program by chad waterbury, in it some of the exercises he talks about using machines, but I workout at home and only have access to a Barbell, Dumbbells, Excercise bike, Bench + leg attachment, can i just work with what I have, can i get a proper workout at home?

Ive followed this program for 1 week and I only worked biceps once, surely that wont do much only exercising a group once will it?
(the program has u do 4 comp's 2 single joint ex. per day)

How r u suppose to feel after working out? I workout hard, but then in a couple of hours, feel i can do it all again.

Can u have to much protein, if so, what will it do?, i.e today ive had chicken salad, Tuna sandwich, Eggs, 2 protein shakes and mince for dinner, everyday I have protein, ALL THE TIME.

sorry for all the questions, I will update 1st week routine in the workout journal forum

Yes you can have too much protein. You can have too much of anything. The more I research and learn, the more I believe moderation is everything. I have the same setup as you. I have dumbells, plates, a bench, and total gym. I would think as long as you workout hard enough, it should be fine. I think if you can hit all the muscles it shoudl be fine. Did you just start? I have noticed that you may not feel anything in the muscle right after, but I know usually the next day or so I feel a kind of bruised feeling. Like if you squeeze your muscle it feels like you were punched. I dont know if this is what someone is suppose to feel. Hopefully someone else can post on here and comment on that. I don't go by the waterbury thing though. I use a recommendation from another body building site. On that site it says for mass gain, stay in 60-80 percent of 1 RM. There is also a calculator on there to determine your 1 rm and percentage based on a weight and max reps you can do. I think for strength it mentioned 80-95 percent 1 RM.

i know the program and you can choose any exercise you like that fits the movement plane so you can easily choose free wt options for the one's he suggested on machines which couldn't have been many

training biceps doesn't get you big biceps so they don't much attention...if ytou read the article again you'll see he only pout them in there to please all the boys who have to do arm work, otherwise he says to add in more compound exercises of which there aren't any direct arm one's

as long as you can increase wt eaCH SESSION IT DSOESN'T MATTER HOW FRESH OR BEAT UPO YOU ARE AFTER A SESSION...SO LONG AS YOU STARTED WITH THE CORRECT WT IN THE FIORST PLACE THOUGH...

you can only assimilate so much protein in one go but what you're having isn't too much from what i can see although i don't your portions
