huge forearms

hi, recently i saw this guy at school with HUGE forearms and veins like pencils.... and i felt jealous lol

what are some of the best / most mass building forearm exercises that i can do?? plz, help needed!

Could be Genetics, but just good old Bicep ones do it, like E-Z Bar Curls, and Dumbbell Curls.

I used ot do Wrist Curls, but haven't for years, and I've not knowingly sacrificed any mass, from not isolating the Brachioradialis muscles anymore.

Also Wrist Curls could be bad for the Wrists anyway, because of the stress on the Joint.

I'd just keep training Biceps hard, and you should be fine.

oh hey, what do you think about the hand grippers? do u think they are really effective, or just phonyy to increase forearm strength

I'd forget them. Thye may have negative repercussions on the Wrist Joint, and most of what they work anyway, are those one or two little muscles just below the Bone, about 1/2" from the back of the Palms.

I do wrist curls, dont know quite hwow much it helps. May be mainly a pump but I can feel a difference when I haven't done them for a while so I think it helps... also I have those veins your talking about, but may be genetics(I actually feel bad, a recovering heroin addict on the bus once told me arms were making him jones for some). Another great workout which I did the other day and I'm still stiff from is this one. Cut a hole in a dowl(or piece of a hokcey stick) put a rope in maybe 3-4 feet long and a 10 pound weight on the end. Roll it up till the weights at the top then roll it back down. Gurarentee after 4-6 youll really be feeling it for a few days.

the old wrist roller, best forearm exercise there is just about...mostly genetics unelss you can pack on 10kgs of muscle and then they may change size...workoing your grip prior to forearms is probably the ay to go as that will be limiting factor...i've got an article at rich-fit on grip/forearm training if you want to have a look...other fav's are reverse ez bar curls and forearm pull ups as i call them (alright i'll say, i invented them a couple of weeks ago) which is the same as regular pull ups but with a close grip (4 - 6"), palms facing away from you...the special part is to keep your forearms in front of you so your tri's and lats form a perfect 90 degree angle at the top position...i do these with feet on a bench and wt on lap...pretty hard to describe really but play around with it and you'll work it out
