muscle and fat!!!!

Post by kashtasitc »

Hi there. i used to go to a weightlifting gym and we had quite a few power lifters. I once got told by one of them that i can not put on muscle without putting on fat.

Can anyone tell me if this is true?

i have been doing some really intense training that is suppose to make you add on muscle. however due to the fear of putting on fat, i havnt really been eating well. i eat a little bit but take more protein shakes. i have seen strength grow but i dont think i have gained muscle, im not too sure. because you see yourself in the mirror everyday so its hard to notice that little bit of difference.

This could also be due to the fact that i havnt been eating well. Can someone clarify for me whether "i can not put on muscle without putting on fat" please.

it can be done with minimal fat gains but you're being very naive if you think you won't gain either...the things is to limit fat gains as much as you can but most take it as an excuse to eat everything in site, get fat and stay in "bulking" phases for yrs on end talking themselves into thinking they are big mass monsters but there simply fat ...if you don't eat you won't grow muscles that's as simple as that so eat up, lift up and if you think your putting on too much fat (you shouldn't put more then 1pd of fat on for every 3pds of muscle) then simply scale the eating back, up the bdensity for 4 weeks, lose the excess and go again...you'
re better off leaning down, bulking up, leaning down etc then just bulking and hoping not to put fat on

they yeild more cal's per gram then carbs and protein (9 vs 4) so they're great for getting cal's up without having to eat a lot more volume of food

they are also great for your joints during heavy lifting phases as well keeping carb tolerance at bay an decreasing bad cholesterol down

They also boost natural test levels.
And you can gain muscle with minimal fat, weight has not changed in over a year, but I'm far leaner than a year back.
And a lot stronger.
