Hi, im 16 years old and play a lot of soccer and i've recently incurred an injury to upper quad (sorry dont know what that muscle is called) but its on waistline by hip and it hurts particularly when i lift leg. I've pulled this muscle several times now and even though i stop training, im always using it in day to day activity and it takes forever to heal.
Will strengthening up this muscle help prevent it from being pulled again in the future or what is good for it?
sounds like one of the hip flexors which you've probably strained (psoas maybe)...rest is really the only way for it to heal...it's probably more of a muscle imbalance issue where too much stress is put on one muscle from a weakness of another muscle...without actually knowing which one it is it's hard to prescribe
