1 Arm Push-ups? Dips? Mixed Grip Chins? SL training when there is not any bilateral training experience....
Body is a Barbell is a good program, but c'mon, when some one has never trained that's just asking for injury and disappointment.
Cara, can you get to a gym? IMO that a true beginner like yourself needs to learn some basics, and the best way to do that is to work with a trainer or even a friend with at least SOME training experience. After you learn some basics lifts, you can learn to adapt them to do at home, or better yet, continue at the gym.
If you have no possible way of getting to a gym, try the video series by Jari Love. It will ease you into resistance training and you already have the equipment needed to do the work-outs. The instruction is good and will teach you the basics is good form to avoid injury.
How would anyone learn proper form without someone to show it to them, hence video if gym is not possible.swanso5 wrote:obviously it's a blue print D i thought you would've caught onto that...bilateral lower leg wortk isn't the end all of training, most of life is one one leg and what are we gonna do 100 reps of squats???
why would she get injured from a bodyweight program and not a video???
How would someone with no experience modify a blueprint, particularly since the person has no idea what the exercise is?
Starting out with bilateral work is much safer than unilateral. The act of walking takes 2 legs, as does the act of standing. We don't generally hop from place to place.
I'm just saying.
