goal in life is to become a personal tainer. I just graduated and I will be starting college soon. I first will take some business management classes so I can get realtor's license and do some jobs in the business area for money. I then want to take classes that when people see them they know I have good knowledge in what it takes to live a healthy life. So is there anyone who can point out some classes that really helped them become a successful trainer???
Thanks
I want to be a personal trainer, What classes should I take

Call some local gyms and ask the owners what they want to see for a certification. There are the big names out there, like the ISSA and NSCA (CSCS) but in reality it's just a piece of paper. Your better off finding out what is more accepted in the area you plan to work in. If you go to Golds or Ballys, for example, they have specific programs for their employees (which I would not recommend as they are limited to that particular franchise).
Look for a gym(s) that is independently owned and ask questions. And make sure whatever course you end up taking offers mentoring with an experienced PT, you want hands on stuff, not just an internet course with an exam. The scientific is "nice to know", some of it is "good to know" but doesn't help all that much in real life situations. People want results, not so much the science behind them.
Your future clients have no idea if you have the knowledge to train them and a certification doesn't tell them much, except that you passed an exam. The best way to convey knowledge of a healthy lifestyle is to live one.
