can I do bodybuilding with piles- Advice needed

recently I came to know that I have grade I hemorrhoids(piles). I've been liftting weights for more than 3 yrs. Now I'm scared that It may aggravate pain and bleeding if continue to do the same. Please advice. Thanks

i'm not in the know on this one...maybe just keep wt moderate and limit the vasalve manouvre (holding your breathe) too much...you been to the doctor about it and what did they say?? i'm interested to know

I had one and kept going while working out hard. I wouldnt recommend that week though... That was frosh week so a week of drinking, not sleeping and working out with a hemmoroid... I was kinda dead by the end of the week. Burning the candle in every possible way.
By the way.... are hemmeroids generally for older people? I'm 18 and already had one...

I don't actually know how they occur, but no I think anyone can get them, although like many other ailments / illnesses, if commonly they occur in the older populus, that doesn't exclude people under 50 getting whatever the ailment / illness might be.

Hey Swanso, Yesterday I consulted Gastro doctor.. he said I could continue bodybuilding as long as I feel comfortable. So I'll continue to do wat I've been. Thanks swanso..

i think they come from straining like when lifting heavy wts but not even sure of that which is why i replied with the lighter wt thing
