Don't take this badly, but 4000 cals is a bad calorie intake bud.

You're 13, and you're making a classic mistake of thinking to get big you need to eat like 180lb+ dudes, when you don't.

All your body will do is convert a lot of thosde calories to Fat, as it won't need them, then over time convert less the stronger you get, and the more you need. End result is you get a good level of bulk, but a few too many lbs of Fat, you didn't need to get, that will be a cow to shift, and if you try to get rid of it, you could sacrifice muscle.

Most people your age only need around 1,500 a day, even for mild levels of aerobic exercise, I wouldn't go above 1,600-1,800.

In your case seeing as you're probably looking to bulk, I'd advise to go for now with about 2,500 a day.

When you feel like your gains are dried up, go for 2,800, then 3,100, then 3,400, 3,700, 4000.

Slowly work up to 4,000 over a period of a few years, depending on how quickly your body is able to strengthen and grow.

You've got good Test levels, or should be getting them at 13 / 14, the 180lb+ big dude calorie intake, isn't necessary, unless you want to end up 19, 180lbs and carrying possibly 5lbs maybe even more extra Fat, you can't shift, and look like you've got slightly droopy Pecs, or that melted Pecs look.

Your cals are way too high in opinion for your age, and they don't need to be.

Rippetoe's program Starting Strength is a great place for anyone interested in getting strong. This kid may be a meathead but that comes with the territory of being 14.

Oxidane, you might want to start eating big only after you start training big. I'm not sure I'd take a few years to build up to that amount but your caloric intake should be in relation to your physical activity and goals.

Not sure why you are waiting until September to start, but just make sure that you have some one to help you out in the beginning. Not another 14 year old either.

And get over yourself, you'll be a noob for a long time yet.

LOL, meathead, of course it's not the same. Go ask 10 trainers the same question, how can I get strong, and I guarantee 10 similar but very different answers. You need to ask yourself :
WHY am I training?
1. to get strong
2. to get all jacked
3. to enhance athletic ability
4. to lose weight
etc, etc....
WHAT do I wish to accomplish in (insert time line here)
1. Squat double body weight in 6 months
2. Have swole biceps
3. make the football team
etc., etc.
There is always carry over from one goal to another, this is where things get murky when you are trying to learn from the internet.
If I was 14, I'd take the summer holidays to get to a good gym and try and learn from the older lifters there. And get a part time job lifting that involves a great deal of physical labor, landscaping, house painting, unloading containers at the dump. Then start with Rippetoe when you have some supervision, I am assuming at school in September.
And remember that you know nothing, your 14, be grateful and learn from good and bad advice.

Disagree, 100%.
Like anything else that involves picking up heavy shit, a person just needs to know what they are doing and why they are doing it. There are some damn impressive body builders out there, they work hard and are pretty dedicated lifters.

I don't aspire to that type of physique training, but you can't say it's not valid just because you don't want it for yourself.

In relation to the OP, I wouldn't send a 14 year old kid into a gym and tell him to train to get all get jacked, but I wouldn't generalize the subject either.

Telling a kid not to do something because you think it's crap is like daring him to do it. Did you never go through the rebellious stage?
