For example, parts like abs, triceps i wanna cut up. But parts like shoulder or back i wanna buff up. i wanna increase muscle mass and get those boulder shoulders, and for parts like biceps, i wanna increase the mass on those cuz they say biceps arent proportionate with the rest of arm.
Could i do, for instance, 4 sets of 12 for triceps (to cut up) and like 4 sets of 8-10 for shoulders (to buff up) and get both results happening ?
Either buffing up, or cutting up. Cant you do both ?

it's all calorie intake...if you're eating more than your using you'll get heavier...if you're eating less than you're using you'll get lighter...this is what make sit hard to do both at the same time...you need do do periods of eating a little less and increasing activity to lean down followed by periods of eating a more and decreasing cardio to build up..also when you do build up you will build up everywhere not just 1 - 2 areas you think that you're specifically targeting which is why deads and squats are better than curls and pushdowns for arm size
Swanso is right. It's not impossible to do both at the same time, but it's rather difficult. Muscles grow from eating more calories than you consume, and fat is lost by eating fewer calories than you consume.
Typically I actually recommend going through a muscle growth cycle before a fat loss cycle. The reason is that people often find themselves gaining fat and muscle at the same time. It's hard to just enough calories to gain muscle, but not too much so fat growth happens as well. Some people do well at only gaining muscle, while others simply don't.

Yeah, it also depends on whether you're Ectomorhpic, Mesomorphic or Endomorphic. That dictates to a small extent, how your body adapts to diet and training.
I mean the concept of "spot reducing" is not really possible, as you can't target specific areas.
You can eat enough Protein and Carbs, to get a good chance of some muscle growth, without having too many calories, but you could still run the risk, of losing some mass, if the calories were not close to your previous levels.

Hmmm. I see .. yaa i'm on to u swanso, i do do squats and deadlifts--but i also do curls.. its not wrong to incorporate both is it ?
Yeah see the thing is I did do a muscle growth cycle--for a while now--i mean i havent been workin out for a simple 2 weeks or anythin like that. but while i worked out--i included cardio--cuz i guess i love both and i just wanna do both of em.. but i guess i'll stick to one of em
