Carbs from veggies.

Post by ballas38 »

Ok so here is the question.

Swanso wrote on an article that 300-400 grams are stored as glycogen.

So let's assume that you eat 100 breakfast, 100 post workout

How do you eat 100-200 only by veggies on the rest of the day ????

Well personally when "bulking" I eat more carbs than this and second I don't think you completely depletes your storage in one workout session.

well it's dependant on plenty of factors such as muscle mass, absorption rates etc...that is a very genral figure...the big bodybuilders would probably store more where skinny blokes will store less...glyocgen is used for a shit load of bodily functions as well which is why you still need some carbs in your diet...carb depletion is more diaetary then training but you need both to accomplish it

remeber this storage, not what's actually needed...what's needed is dependant on your energy requirements

That's interesting but not exactly what i asked.

I am just wondering how it is possible to get all the carbs you need (except breakfast and post wrkt) from veggies.....

well i think it is what you asked...400g is how much you can store, not what you always need so in that case you probably don't need 100 - 200g from veg...and if that isn't right yet well, eat them...i doubt whether your energy expenditure reqwuires 400g of carbs a day anyway, mine doesn't
