Best Ab Trainer?
They all seem about the same to me with minor variations. Has anyone used any of these?

I believe they can work but wonder how much better than old-fashioned crunches.

Crunch are close too useless, If you need to strengthen you abs : Plank variations Stomach Vaccum Etc. are the way to do it, Cruch won't strengthen your abs won't gives you a solid 6 packs and may cause a tons of postural troubles.Fit_Friend wrote:They all seem about the same to me with minor variations. and for machine, save your money

Abs
Okay, never had a 6-pack, trying for them now!
Try these:
All these reps, the slower the better: unweighted exercises max 30 reps per set, very slow, add weight later. Weighted exercises max. 20 reps, very slow. Minimum reps for all is 10.
Aim for 6 sets on the abs per workout and about 24-30 sets per week.
Hip Raises
Leg Raises
Dumbbell or Barbell Sidebends
Cable Crunches
Roman Chair

Sets are a guideline, more sets to exhaustion builds smaller, denser, and tighter muscle like a marathon runner's leg muscles. Small fibers around small and so on. Very dense and strong, thus a strong core. This is what I have found, although others may find results differ for them.

Yes true, Vamp seems to have a solid knowledge in weightlifting, I'm happy to have another one around, but It's true that
High intensity exercises over lower intensity for muscles/strength gains
and
Who cares about training abs really ? Throw them in your workout paired with another exercise (so that you don't waste time) and your gonna be fine.

If you really have to go for an ab trainer I would recommend the following.
Crazy Abs Abdominal Exercise Home Gym
The machine is designed to work your core in a single isolated plain of motion. While it was created to work your abs, you also get an added workout for your arms, back, and shoulders.
