not always. waterbury method involves one 10x3 exercise and about 5 exercises with 6 reps, 4 sets.
look it up by Chad Waterbury.

there is no actual "high wt"...you may lift 50kgs which is high for you but bugger all for me so it's all relative...

if doing the waterbury method than you need to use the wts suggested so if doing 10 sets of 3 than you should be using a 5 or 6 rep max wt, not a 3 rep max and the same for all sets and reps in all CW programs

if aiming for 8 reps per set stay with the same wt until you do all sets for 8 reps increasing 1 rep each set each session at least until you are there like this

workout 1 - 8, 6, 5
2 - 8, 7,6
3 - 8, 8, 7
4 - 8, 8, 8...increase wt for next session and start again

Look man it depends. You should be able to do at least 4 reps and maximum 12 reps. Try 8-10 reps.

are u taking rest between try taking in 5min rest between sets if ur doing the heavy weight exercise

also there are articles that state that a person can do one set of 8-10 if he does the right amount of weight and be done and recieve same result than a person doing 4 sets

the idea is that you have to choose the right weight where the last rep is squeezed out of u

you ned to be able to recruit high threashold motor units, have good enough stamina to go beyound failure multiple levels, perfect nutrition and rest recovery methods, perfect exercise selection amoungst others...it's not as good as multi set training anyway
