I'm trying to lose a lot of weight, really fast. By saying that, I'm willing to take it to extreme measures as in fasting and only sticking to the bear minimum. I have a friend who did it and lost at ton of weight. What do you guys suggest I do? Remember, I don't want to eat very much and only want to eat the bear essentials.
Weight loss is a patience game. Fast is not an option. Ketotonic diets involving no Carbs, supposedly to shock the system, are bad. Heck even most people doing BB and figure comps these days have a bit of Carb, except possibly still at the Pro ranks, where it may still be 3% bf requirement.
Fasting is not good for you, you need your Micronutrients.
I don't know why you need to do this, but sticking to healthy patient fat losses, will be much better for you. Quick fixes generally aren't.

I really have no suggestions on how you can lose "alot of weight, really fast". In opinion, attempting to a shed significant amount of weight over a short period of time is just not a good idea at all. You will be VERY likely to gain the weight back and your poor body is not going to like you very much for eating only the bare essentials. If you'd like some suggestions on how to lose weight in a healthy manner so that you can keep it off and have a more healthy lifestyle in general there are lots of very knowledgeable people on this forum who could definitely help you get started. However, if you're wanting to cut corners and essentially abuse your body I'm afraid you probably aren't going to recieve a lot great advice. By adopting a healthy balanced diet and fitness routine you could make some very beneficial lifestyle changes that will help you to shed that weight for good while building and toning muscles in the process.
Its super great that you are motivated to get on track and make healthy changes to your diet! However, if you're not careful about how you go about making these changes it could be detrimental to your health (trust me on this one... I did the whole "quick weight loss thing" where I ate only bare essentials and I eventually ended up in the hospital with a very screwed up body and metabolsm).
