Muscle sore after cardio workout

Post by twinskin »

Hi all,

Good Tuesday morning everyone. I'm mom to 9 months old twins and i had been so busy taking care of them and finally i'm determined to lose that stubburn 20 pounds..

Here is schedule
Mon-Wed-Fri = 45 mins of interval training + 5 mins of abs
Tue = moderate cardio(20 min) + 30 min of Strength training upper body
Thu= moderate cardio(20 min) + 30 min of Strength training lower body
Sat-sun = rest days(Actually no time for exercise with taking care of 2 infants)

I had been working the above schedule for the past 8 weeks, but now, i'm starting to get sore pains the day after the cardio.. Is it a Good sign or Am I lacking something?? (Good news is that I lost 10lbs in that 8 weeks)

Thanks for reading so far and for your suggestions.

do strength training before cardio as it wil be more effective that way..i don't think you should really be getting sore from the intervals but deopends how hard your doing it...your durastion should be the other way around too...do intervals for 20mins, but harder and moderate for 45mins

Chances are if you are getting sore after cardio you ould probably improve your form. Sometimes being too tense ina certain area will cause soreness. There are numerous things that could be wrong with your form. Can you tell me what muscle are feeling sore? And what are you doing for cardio...outside, treadmill, etc.
