Post by marsda2003 »

Here's the plan...

Monday-(AM) boxing and grappling (PM) weight lifting class and cardio
Tuesday- (PM) cardio and group dance class
Wednesday- (AM) boxing and grappling (PM) weight lifting class and cardio
Thursday- (PM) cardio and group dance class
Friday- (AM) boxing and grappling (PM) weight lifting class and cardio
Saturday- (AM) maybe yoga

here's where things begin...

6/2 Monday- crosspit #2 workout (missed boxing)
6/3 tuesday- skipped everything
6/4 wednesday- grappling, no boxing this day.

- too much, way too much, you've got 17 sessions in 6 days there...
- what is your main focus? (boxing, grappling or dancing)

filling time

the boxing and grappling are actually sport related. I am learning to box and grapple. i hope to actually fight towards the end of the summer. the grappling has taken over for the most part, because it is much more fun. so they switch out. the dance class is just an hour of cardio like dance. it is an aerobics class of sorts. i put extra cardio on the list, because i haven't taken the class before so I don't know how much i will get out of it.

i am sure i will end up tinkering with the schedule numerous times.

oh a fiesty one here...

well with the grappling/boxing, that would be your cardio so you need some strength work in there...you also don;t want to train everyday if you can help it...i'm not sure how much the grapling takes out of you but maybe insert wts on those days so you have 3 big days and 4 days off or so

i suggest searching these:

hammer down strength by chad waterbury

hammer down endurance by chad waterbury

right now I am just learning to grapple, so it isn't very taxing. The body pump classes on m-w-f are all weight lifting group classes. so i will get out of it, whatever I put in to it. thanks for the search topics though, I will check them out now.

you won't et very strong doing pump classes dear, wts too light and it goes for too long....rememebr you can train hard, but you can't train hard for long

if grappling isn't that hard then yes i would do wt workouts on those days probbaly after if you can but before won't be too bad so long as your not too wiped out for the grappling
